what is womburtle?

WOMBURTLE was an online shop that started during the Covid-19 pandemic. WOMBURTLE’s mission was to design and ship tangible products to help people find joy in connecting with each other. Each product line donated 1% of sales to organizations whose work fit its theme. The first set of products was a series of monochrome hand-designed postcards, sales of which created donations for organizations doing important work.

Several organizations do work that we feel is worth supporting. We donated 1% from sales of our postcards to fund their efforts on all of our behalves.

Part of the proceeds from sales of packs in the Nature theme were donated to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to support their work reducing water pollution.

Part of the proceeds from sales of packs in the Tech theme were donated to the EFF, to support their work defending digital privacy, free speech, and innovation.

Part of the proceeds from sales of packs in the Climate theme were donated to Right to Repair organizations, to support their work advocating for letting us repair and reuse our stuff.

Part of the proceeds from sales of packs in the Health theme were donated to the WHO, the UN Foundation, and Swiss Philanthropy Foundation to support their work fighting COVID-19.

Hi! ? We’re the creators behind WOMBURTLE. We operate with a commitment to supporting sustainable progress for our global community. Ammi designs and Manil codes. Both of us produce mostly digital products, but we love the unique connectivity of physical space. We experiment with ideas to bring physical connection back into our lives, in small yet powerful ways.
